Dilê şiwan bixwaze dikare ji nêrî şîr derxe
If the shepherd truly wants it, he can draw milk from a billy goat.
Dilê tirsonek sênga gewr nabine
A cowardly heart never sees a broad chest.
Dilê tirsonek timî dikute
A coward's heart is always pounding.
Dilê yekê ket kevirekî heft salan bi xwe re gerand
A woman's heart fell for a stone and carried it with her for seven years.
Dîn ne dînin, ê ji wan bawer dikin dînin
The mad are not the real fools; those who believe them are.
Dinya guleke, bêhn bike û bide hevalê xwe
The world is a rose; smell it and pass it to your friend.
Dinya li dinyê, çavê gur li mîhê
As long as the world exists, the wolf's eye will be on the sheep.
Dît ezim nedît dizim
If he saw me, it's mine; if he didn't, I'm a thief.
Dit ezim nedit dizim. veya Di sa ezim nedisa dizim.
If he saw me, it is mine; if he did not, I am a thief.
